Jetlagged and grumpy
I’m tired.
I’m grumpy.
I’m jetlagged.
I don’t feel like writing today; my brain is mush.
But I made a commitment, and I’m sticking to it.
Something I learned many years ago is that we are defined by what we do, especially when we don’t feel like it.
As I said in my most popular post, The bigger the interface, the weaker the abstraction:
Writers write.
Readers read.
Runners run.
Lifters lift.
Dancers dance.
Programmers program.
We aren’t our best selves every day, but we can always show up and do the work.
